Hello there, my name is Amanda and I run Basically Botany. I am a 20-something young adult figuring out my place in the blogging world and having fun along the way.

A bit of background about me: I have a BS degree in Botany and currently work in data analysis.

My experience with botany research, plant identification, greenhouses, gardening, house plants, herbariums, and more has led to a compilation of great love and knowledge for plants. I want to share my botanical inspirations with others, especially because there are just not enough people out there who truly appreciate plants! I also love researching and writing. This is how Basically Botany was born.
